    CG AYUSH

    The Directorate of AYUSH is a Government body under department of Medical Education (AYUSH) in Chhattisgarh Government. This Directorate was established in Year 2000 with the inception of Chhattisgarh State. Beginning from 1 Government Ayurveda Medical College under its belt, the Directorate now has administration of 2 Government Ayurveda Medical Colleges, 8 Private AYUSH Colleges (4 Ayurveda,1 Homeopathy and 1 Naturopathy and Yoga).

    The primary responsibility of the Directorate is making Infrastructure, Equipment,drugs and other essentials along with human resources available to run the Government Colleges/Hospitals. In addition to day to day sorting of administrative problems related to these Institutions, the Directorate has the task of Counseling of Students for these institutions for admissions.

    The Directorate aids in making policies and implementation of policies and directives made by state and central government from time to time in accordance with NCISM and NCH UG Counseling for Various streams.The Directorate has direct responsibility of conducting counseling for admission to various courses being run in institutions under its jurisdiction.

    Counseling and admission process– The most prestigious and time sensitive is the counseling and admission process of BAMS/BHMS/BNYS which is done together by Online E counseling Portal managed by NIC. A team of senior faculty members constitute the State Counseling Committee for Various Courses. They finalize and approve the rules and process of counseling which is further approved by the State Govt through its due process. The Institutes affiliated to directorate also participate in admission process by providing support for Scrutiny of Documents and admissions to their Institute in this process. The final confirmation of admission with validation of credentials of candidate is done by the Institutions.
